Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
Brevio is a personal task planner. Your projects, tasks, routines and notes live on your iPhone. This policy explains what leaves the device, why, and how to remove it.
What stays on your iPhone
Everything you write in Brevio is stored in a database on your device. Widgets, the Live Activity and Siri read a copy of today’s plan that also stays on the device.
Calendar. If you allow it, Brevio reads your calendar to show busy blocks next to your plan. Event titles and times are read on the device and never sent anywhere. Brevio never adds, changes or deletes events. If you mark an event as done, only its calendar identifier is saved with your settings.
Notifications. Routine and trial reminders are scheduled on the device.
Backup and sync
To keep your data safe and let you restore it on a new iPhone, Brevio backs up your projects, tasks, routines, plans, inbox thoughts and settings to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). The backup is tied to an anonymous account that Brevio creates for you; it contains no name or email.
If you choose “Link Apple account”, Firebase Authentication stores the identifier Apple provides and, if Apple shares one, an email address (often a private relay address). It is used only so you can restore your backup by signing in with Apple.
Backups are protected by security rules: only your account can read or write them.
Usage statistics
Brevio uses Google Analytics for Firebase to learn which screens are opened and how often features are used — for example, that a task was completed. It never receives the names or text of your projects, tasks or thoughts. Brevio does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across other apps or websites.
You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Share usage statistics.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Apple. Brevio never sees your card or payment details. To know whether Brevio Pro is active, Brevio uses RevenueCat, which receives your App Store purchase records and an anonymous identifier.
What Brevio does not do
- No ads and no advertising identifiers.
- No selling or sharing of your data with data brokers.
- No reading of your tasks or notes by anyone at Brevio.
Deleting your data
In Settings → Delete account and data, Brevio deletes your backup from Firebase, your account, and everything stored on the iPhone. Deleting the app removes the local data; the backup stays until you delete the account or ask us to.
You can also export everything you have entered as a file from Settings → Export data.
Service providers
- Google Firebase — backup, sign-in and usage statistics.
- RevenueCat — subscription status.
- Apple — payments and Sign in with Apple.
Children
Brevio is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
